OBJECTIVE - to learn how to build an efficient merchandising function                                                                                                                     

TASKS:                  

PARTICIPANTS - directors and owners of retail outlets, administrators of sales areas or departments, assistants, merchandisers, sales managers

IN THE PROGRAM:          

Place and role - system of business processes in the retail business, place of merchandising in business processes, system of merchandising functions

Principles of application - both planned and impulse purchases, commodity and product categories, POSM advertising

Tasks and their correlation - presence, visibility, attention-getting

Specificity of the participants – producers’ goals, targets of retailers, synergy of interests

Management of the function – measuring units, internal standards, effectiveness evaluation methods
